Camp Vignette

I don't want to do it, I don't want to jump. But all of my friends are and it looks fun.

So I take a big breath and run up to the edge of the wharf and squeak. Suddenly I stop and I take a step back. Realising that I don’t really want to do it anymore. NO! I do! So I don’t do it without thinking… Splash! Ahh! COLD! Freezing water rushes through me, in my mouth and even up my nose. I burst up and out of the water. I quickly swim to the ladder and climb back to the wharf.

The Ski Trip

Last week Room 3, Room 2 and Room 15 went to Rainbow Ski Area for the day.
Most people skied, some people tobogganed and a few were snowboarding. I skied. My mum drove up the mountain in the car, with me. I was mostly on the intermediate slope. I fell over a few times, but, you know what they say if you fall down, just get back up and try again. If you don't try, you won't succeed. Anyway I can't wait to go skiing again!

Cats!

Cats are an animal.

Lots of people have cats as pets, like me.

Unless you're thinking about lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards etc.

But I'm talking about the type of cat that you have as a pet.

First of all, lots of people are against cats and don't like them because the kill lots of (nearly extinct or native) birds. But as well as birds that there are heaps of.

Feral cats

A feral cat is the name for a cat that does not have a home or an owner.

They are usually not tame. They are feral. The definition of feral is an animal in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication.

Kittens

A kitten is what you call a baby cat. They are usually very cute.

FRANCE!

France is a country in Europe.

The capital of France is Paris.                  

Paris is known as The City Of Love.

There are lots of famous things in France like, The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe and The Louvre Art Gallery.

My sister went to France, Lyon to be an Au Pair.

The Ginger Cat

The Blue Eyed Ginger Cat

The cat, just sitting alone,with sparks in its beautiful blue eyes, ears pricked up listening carefully for any prey or predators. Its eyes are sparkling and shining like the deep blue ocean. I think he looks sad and lonely. Most likely hungry. He's lucky because he can see and smell a little bird just sitting on the branch of a small tree nearby. His eyes are wide open, waiting to pounce. Oh no! The bird flew away, oh well, fly away birdie, fly away! Poor cat, still, sitting, starving. But he still waits on, in hope of food.
